Healing Philosophy

Most people have experienced a form of trauma. Trauma symptoms manifest in countless ways, including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I approach each session from a trauma-informed perspective. Empowering you in your recovery process lies at the core of my practice.

You are an expert in your own experiences and I'll meet you wherever you are in your healing journey.

In order to recover from trauma, we must feel safe, heard, and respected. I encourage honest communication throughout each session to develop safety and healthy boundaries.

While there are many layers to trauma recovery along with various modalities, I have found that incorporating body awareness is highly effective. Each session might look different, but the overall goal is to practice self-compassion.

We aren’t supposed to start out perfect.

“When following along with the different [yoga] poses, I remember feeling a connection to my body instead of just going through the motions. I think the way you connected the motions and breath was beautiful and really effective for getting me to sink into the moment, to feel present, and to feel relaxed.”
