Naomi is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. She graduated from UCF with a Master’s in Social Work in August 2019. Naomi has been working in the field of social work since 2017 and has experience working with individuals who have a history of trauma. She has worked within the LGBTQ+ community and has facilitated LGBTQ+ cultural competency trainings to colleagues in the social work field and within the yoga community. Naomi focuses her counseling practice in addressing anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms. She incorporates her 15+ years of experience in bodywork and mindfulness practices to offer coping skills and self-care tools to empower her clients.

Naomi is a life-long student of body based (somatic) practices in order to assist her clients in healing from trauma with a holistic perspective. Through body awareness, survivors of trauma develop trust in their nervous systems. She is trained in trauma-informed practice in order to create safe spaces for those who are healing from traumas of all varieties. Additionally, Naomi offers a safe space for anyone who is recovering from the trauma of prejudice and discrimination. She maintains an attitude of cultural humility, understanding that each culture has its own unique set of circumstances and approaches each client as an expert of their own experience.
